Tummy's Talk...

According to William (a three year old that I babysit), "his tummy tells him things". Will has quite the personality and in most ways, I like the way the boy thinks. Which is with his tummy and not his head. So when I tell him things to do like "Will, sit down and eat your lunch", "Will, let your brother play with that", and "Will, do not slam the door its QUIET TIME" he responds with "well, my tummy is telling me not to do what your telling me to do.". As my day went on with Will, it was about dinner time and he kept snacking on cereal which I told him he needed to stop. He then proceeded to tell me "my tummy is telling me that it wants cereal".

Well my tummy tells me it wants a lot of things, so should I just go with its daily wants? According to Will, I should. I should give my body what it wants. With each one of my friends and myself, at one point during each year, we go on diets. We think we are "fat" and then proceed to cut out our favorite foods, pretty much starve ourselves, work out like crazy, and then three weeks later...give up. Why do we do this to ourselves? Why not just do what we want and be happy about it? This is why....
Because skinny girls give you the "body check", thinking "girl, get your eyes off the cookies and back on the treadmill...."
(Lifetime TV show "Drop Dead Diva)
and that is why we think with our brains and not our tummy's.

....Dang skinny girls.
